Establishment Section 

Faculty recruitment procedure is as per the AICTE norms, which is given below :

  • Faculty for Undergraduate programs is as per the staff: Student Ratio i.e. 1:15 and cadre ratio is 1:2:6 (1 Professor 2 Associate Professor 6 Assistant Professors)
  • Faculty for Postgraduate programs is as per the staff: Student Ratio i.e. 1:12 and cadre ratio is 1:2:0 (1 Professor 2 Associate Professor)

 

Qualification, eligibility criteria, pay and pay scale are as per the AICTE and state government norm.

Program Cadre Qualification Eligibility Criteria
Engineering & Technology Assistant Professor B.E. / B.Tech and M.E. / M.Tech in relevant subject with First Class or equivalent  
  Associate Professor *Qualification as above that is for the post of Assistant Professor, as applicable and Ph.D. or equivalent, in appropriate discipline. 
Post Ph.D. publications and guiding Ph.D. students is highly desirable.
Minimum of 5 years experience in teaching and/ or research and/ or industry of which at least 2 years shall be post Ph.D. is desirable.
  Professor *Qualifications as above that are for the post of Associate Professor, as applicable. 
Ph.D. publications and guiding Ph.D. students is highly desirable.
Minimum of 10 years teaching and/or research and/or industrial experience of which at least 5 years should be at the level of Associate Professor. 

Or 

Minimum of 13 years experience in teaching and/or Research and/or Industry. 

1.In case of research experience, good academic record and books/research paper publications/IPR/patents record shall be required as deemed fit by the expert members in Selection committee. 

2.If the experience in industry is considered, the same shall be at managerial level equivalent to Associate Professor with active participation record in devising/designing, planning, executing, analyzing, quality control, innovating, training technical books/research paper publications/IPR patents, etc. as deemed fit by the expert members in Selection committee. 

3.In case of Architecture, Professional Practice of 10 years as certified by the Council of Architecture shall also be considered valid.
  Principal / Director *Qualification as above that is for the post of Professor, as applicable. 

**Post Ph.D. publications and guiding Ph.D. students is highly desirable.
Minimum of 10 years teaching and/or research and/or industrial experience of which at least 5 years should be at the level of Associate Professor
